It was my own PCOS fertility journey that led me to working with a nutritionist. Sure, I was offered all the drugs by my GP to effectively override my hormones but I just knew there had to be another way.

AN ESTIMATED 1 IN 10 WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE LIVE WITH PCOS

And yet up to 70% of women suffering with PCOS symptoms remain undiagnosed. Those who do receive a diagnosis report a lack of ongoing medical support, with medication and IVF often being the first line of recommended treatment. Some women are simply dismissed with nowhere to turn. I've been there too and I understand your frustration.

I know that it can be really hard to take the leap of faith and trust someone with your health. What if it doesn't work? What if I can't commit to the plan? Do I really have the money to do this right now? Is nutritional support right for me?

I get it. And I've been exactly where you are now. Personally, the price I was paying being stuck where I was - lost, confused, overwhelmed, hopeless - was far greater than the concerns I had to move forward.

Frequently asked questions

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PRACTITIONERS?

Not only have I trained extensively in the field of fertility nutrition - I graduated from the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition and am an active member of the Fertility Nutrition Centre - but, as a fellow cyster, I've also walked a mile in your shoes. I have been exactly where you are now and I feel your pain and frustration.

DO YOU WORK WITH THE MALE PARTNER?

Absolutely! After all, it takes two to tango. Whilst this programme has been specifically designed to support women with PCOS, I encourage male partners to join in for the initial session if possible, as well as joining in the conversation when we move on to discuss how we can support egg and sperm health with nutrition and lifestyle. If your partner needs support beyond this based on test results or additional health issues, I'd be happy to create a bespoke programme.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

I do! You can either pay in full at the time of booking (£990) or you can split your payments over 3 months (£330 once a month for 3 months). Simply let me know your preference and I'll take care of the rest.

DO YOU OFFER TESTING?

Absolutely! I have access to a wide range of functional testing options that go way above and beyond anything that is offered as part of routine fertility screening. If you want to get into the nitty gritty, I'm here for it! But testing is always optional and never compulsory and wherever possible I will point you towards GP testing as a first port of call.

ARE SUPPLEMENTS PART OF THE HEALTH PLAN?

Targeted, individualised supplementation is a key part of the health plan. Supplementation plugs the nutrient gap where the diet falls short and, as much as I love taking a food first approach, farming methods and soil depletion mean that the foods we eat today are not as nutritious as they were in the olden days.

HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED TO DEDICATE?

As part of the PCOS Power Plan we meet weekly for a 30 minute Zoom consultation. On top of that you may wish to allow another 15-30 minutes each week to look at the additional resources such as training videos and handouts that go alongside each session.

HOW SOON CAN I EXPECT MY PERIODS TO REGULATE?

This is a tricky question to answer. PCOS is a condition that is most commonly years in the making so you need to give your body a chance to readjust to nutrition and lifestyle changes. As much as we all love a quick fix, making sustainable changes and healing your body from the inside out, can take some time. However, most of my clients report that they begin to see changes in the way they feel - think energy, digestion, food cravings etc - soon after starting the programme.
