ADVANCED TESTING

Answers that go beyond guesswork

A B O U T

Sometimes symptoms tell us everything we need to know. Other times, they leave us with more questions than answers. If you've been told your blood tests are "normal" but you still don't feel like yourself, you're struggling with fertility, low energy, digestive symptoms, your hormones feel out of balance, or you're simply looking for more personalised answers, advanced testing can help us dig a little deeper.

Rather than relying on assumptions, testing gives us another layer of information - helping us understand what may be happening beneath the surface, identify potential imbalances and create a more personalised plan for your health. I always use testing as an optional tool for additional clarity, not complexity, so we can stop spinning in circles and start focusing on what will actually make a difference for your health and wellbeing.

WHAT TYPES OF TESTING ARE AVAILABLE?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to testing. The specific tests I recommend will always depend on your symptoms, health history and what we're hoping to get a clearer picture of. Some of the testing options include:

COMPREHENSIVE BLOOD TESTING

Blood tests are one of the most useful tools we have for gaining a clearer picture of what is happening inside your body. While standard blood tests often focus on identifying disease, a more detailed nutritional and functional approach can help us explore patterns that may be contributing to how you feel day-to-day.

Depending on your symptoms, health history and goals, comprehensive blood testing may provide insight into areas such as nutrient status. thyroid health, blood sugar balance, cardiovascular markers, cholesterol, liver and kidney function, inflammation markers and more.

HORMONE & FERTILITY TESTING

Your hormones influence many aspects of your health from your menstrual cycle and fertility to your energy, mood, sleep and overall sense of wellbeing. Whether you're trying to understand your cycle, preparing for pregnancy, navigating fertility challenges, hormonal conditions, or simply feeling like your hormones are no longer working in the way they used to, testing can provide valuable insight into what may be happening beneath the surface.

Depending on your symptoms, goals and health history, hormone and fertility testing may help us explore areas such as ovulation and menstrual cycle patterns, oestrogen and progesterone balance, androgen levels, hormone metabolism, cortisol patterns and stress response, thyroid function, blood sugar regulation, inflammation and more.

DIGESTIVE HEALTH TESTING

Your gut plays a much bigger role in your overall health than digestion alone. The health of your digestive system can influence nutrient absorption, immune function, inflammation, energy levels, hormone balance and mood. Advanced testing can provide a deeper understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface.

Depending on your specific symptoms, digestive health testing may help us explore areas such as the health of your gut microbiome, digestive function, markers of gut inflammation, intestinal health, infections and more.

ADDITIONAL HEALTH INSIGHTS

Sometimes the most useful information doesn't come from a traditional test, but from understanding your body's patterns in real time. Depending on your goals and health concerns, I may recommend additional tools that help us gather insights including continuous glucose monitoring, wearable technology such as the Oura Ring, daily hormone testing with devices such as the Mira or Tempdrop, and more.

Testing can be incredibly empowering, but the real value comes from understanding what your results mean and knowing what to do next. My role is to help you connect the dots - combining your test results with your symptoms, health history, lifestyle and goals to create a personalised plan that feels realistic and achievable. Whether you’re looking for answers around hormones, fertility, energy, digestion or your overall wellbeing, testing can provide the insight we need to move forward with confidence.
